Jewellery Care
Lucy Thompson Jewellery has been designed and built by hand to last.
No jewellery is unbreakable, but, with careful handling, storage and proper care, it will last you a lifetime and more. Here are some top tips to keep your jewellery looking in top shape:
For information on how to clean your Lucy Thompson Jewellery, you can read her blog post here.
Remove jewellery when showering or bathing. Lotions and perfumes can cause discolouration when they come into contact with jewellery so it's always best to put your jewellery on last.
Keep your jewellery away from chemicals such as chlorine (no going swimming or soaking in a hot tub with your jewels on!)
Store your jewellery in a sealed bag or box when not being worn. Silver will tarnish quicker when left out on the side, especially in humid locations such as a bathroom. This is a completely natural process and is unavoidable but it can be delayed with care and reversed with cleaning.
Don't be tempted to pop your jewellery in your purse or pocket when out and about. Some chains can be irreversibly damaged when tangled and the gold plating can get scratched.
