The BARN collection from the Homecoming series was inspired by the often overlooked agriculture structures that are littered across the countryside. These simple, angular shapes that create a strong silhouette on the side of road are often constructed from several different cheap materials, layering and stacking and slatted together.
The construction of the BARN jewellery mimics this - individually textured bars of silver have been stacked and soldered together before being filed and carved to shape them. They are then moulded and cast using the ancient lost wax method in recycled silver.
